Where your deepest romantic desires finally get to speak.
“What does romance mean to you? Not what society told you to think it is — what actually excites you when you imagine a romantic relationship?”
Desires in Disguise is a podcast about romance — what it truly means to you, what you crave from a partner, and what kind of relationship will genuinely keep you satisfied. Each episode is a one-hour conversation that goes deep — a conversation about desires, dreams and fantasies done in the most playful, warm and alive way.
We talk about the possible and the seemingly impossible — the kind of love that actually excites you. This is not a space for processing what went wrong — it's a place to speak our wildest dreams out loud and let that honesty start changing things.
Here is what makes Desires in Disguise unlike anything else: you are invited to come dressed up! Your most dramatic evening gown. Your darkest gothic look. Your costume or outfit that feels the most romantic to you.
“Sometimes, you speak your deepest truth more fully when you give yourself permission to be a little mysterious.”
If you want to share something deeply personal and prefer to keep your identity private, you are welcome to wear a mask. We have some available, or bring your favourite one! Guests could be introduced by first name only if desired.
Evening gown, dark alternative look, fantasy — whatever your romantic self desires. This is your chance to show who you are on the inside.
Share as much or as little under the cover of a mask. Bring your own or browse my collection. Fancy, dark, whimsical — all welcome.
After we record, you can let me know if there is anything you've reconsidered. Your story, your terms.
Most women want romance. Not just love — romance. The kind that makes a relationship feel alive and electric. The kind that makes you feel truly seen, desired, and met. And yet, for most men, romance remains genuinely mysterious. Not because they don't care — but because no one has ever talked to them openly and honestly about it.
That gap — between what women deeply crave and what men actually understand — is where relationships fall apart.
Desires in Disguise exists to close that gap. One honest, exciting conversation at a time.
Most of us have never been asked — really asked — what we want from a romantic relationship. Not what seems reasonable or socially acceptable — what we actually want. This is that moment. An invitation to bring your extraordinary inner world into the light. Your desires, your fantasies, your vision of what love could feel like at its best.
Women are a mystery — but only because they haven't had a chance to explain their desires. Every episode is a window into what a real woman actually wants, what makes her want you, what makes her feel bored, what makes her excited, and what it genuinely takes to build a satisfying relationship.
Each episode begins with you — who you are, how you move through the world — and then goes deeper into the heart of what you want from love. Three themes, explored through many questions, every conversation entirely its own.
Before we talk about romance, we want to know you. Your work, your passions, your creative life. Do you run a business? Write? Create? Move through the world in some extraordinary way? We want to hear about it. Who you are shapes everything about how you love, and the audience deserves to meet you fully before they hear your heart.
The fantasy. The feelings. All of it — no filters, no apologies. This is the place to dream out loud. We talk about the dreams and the dynamics that you find both thrilling and romantic. We discuss your desired intensity — because that is one of the secrets of a successful relationship.
“If a guy wants to be in a romantic relationship with you — or someone like you — what does he need to know?”
Men genuinely struggle to understand women, and they need your help. This is where your insights are truly appreciated. The kind that are specific, genuine, and generous.
Author · Poet · Host of Desires in Disguise
Ada Draedan is a writer, poet, and educator who has called Toronto home for 24 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Linguistics — a background that sharpened her ear for the way people say things, and more importantly, for all the things they struggle to say at all.
Her upcoming book, Villain, Victim, Hero: How to Find Your Dream Partner in Life (2026), is the product of years of careful observation — of her own relationships, and of the relationships of everyone around her. Ada has long been drawn to the psychology of how people connect: why they choose who they choose, what patterns repeat across relationships, and why so many of those relationships quietly fall apart. She has watched too many people settle into a life where romance has gone missing — where the spark never truly arrived, or faded long before anyone knew how to name what was lost. The book is her attempt to change that. To make the invisible patterns visible, and to give people a real chance at the relationship they actually want.
Desires in Disguise is the living companion to that work — born from the same conviction that most relationships fail not from lack of feeling, but from lack of understanding. The fastest way to change that is an honest conversation. Not about what went wrong. About what is possible.
Ada is a lover of all things dark and romantic. Her world is one of deep feelings, intense imagination, and the unwavering belief that extraordinary love is not a fantasy — it is a destination, and clarity is how you get there.
I came in thinking it would be an exciting excuse to dress up. I left having said things I have never said out loud before — about what I actually want, what I have been settling for, and what I am no longer willing to accept. I didn't expect to feel so free.

This is a protected, positive space — we keep it that way intentionally, for everyone who comes here to dream.
Before anything else, we'll have a short conversation — just to make sure this feels right for both of us. There's no pressure. If we're a good match, we'll move forward. If not, that's completely okay too.
We find a time that works for your schedule. You'll get my address and a short list of questions sent to you so you can start thinking — and dreaming.
This is the fun part. We'll talk through your costume or outfit plans — what you're thinking of wearing and whether you'd like a mask.
When you arrive, you'll have a private room to change, touch up your makeup, put on your mask — whatever you need to settle into yourself. Take your time. We only start when you're ready.
An hour-long conversation. Honest, warm, unhurried. Just two people talking about the most exciting topic in the world.
After we wrap, you can let me know if there is anything you've reconsidered and would like removed before the episode is published. Your story, your terms.
This conversation rewards preparation. The guests who arrive having really thought about their answers — and who bring their most dramatic selves — make for the most incredible episodes.
Sit with the questions before you arrive. What does a truly romantic relationship feel, look, and sound like to you? What spells "exciting" and what gets boring quick. How intense does it need to be to feed your soul?
Come dressed as the most romantic version of yourself. An evening gown, a dark alternative look, a fantasy costume — whatever feels most authentically and intensely you. A mask, a wig, dramatic makeup, or any combination are all wonderful ways to complete your look.
We talk about everything here — including intimacy, desire, and what it means to feel physically close to someone you love. Romance and sensuality are not separate things. We simply speak about them with elegance. Poetic, evocative, honest — that's the language of this experience.
Tell me a little about yourself and let's find out if it's a match.
Thank you — your note is on its way. I'll be in touch soon to see if it's a match.
